ITGLOBAL.COM upgraded the storage infrastructure of "ATI.SU Trucking Exchange"
As part of the new agreement, ITGLOBAL.COM delivered two NetApp A400 storage systems of the latest generation and provided the first line of support. In order to clearly show “Freight Exchange ATI.SU (Transbord LLC)” what technological advantages NetApp now offers on the market, ITGLOBAL.COM conducted a number of laboratory works to demonstrate them and compare them with the functionality of storage from Dell and Huawei. In addition, the client was shown the updated graphical Management Interface of Active IQ Unified Manager during the project discussion phase. It was necessary to find a solution that would not only solve the client’s business problems here and now, but would not require upgrades for several years to come.
Taking into account the quarantine measures, ITGLOBAL.COM specialists developed a series of practices, which allows you to conduct laboratory work to demonstrate the capabilities of the software. All works were performed remotely without any loss in the quality of the simulation of storage operation.
One of the key features of the NetApp A400 is full support for NVMe technology at all levels, from backend-e support in the form of NVMe disk shelves and NVMe drives to optional support for the data access protocol, NVMe over Fibre Channel. Both storage systems also utilize SVM-DR based on SnapMirror, which demonstrates a fundamentally new level of infrastructure ownership.
Previously, ATI.SU Freight Exchange used NetApp FAS2240 storage, so by choosing a modern model, it is possible to observe the continuity of generations due to the stable operation of hardware and software. In this way, the company was also able to save resources on training engineers.
The exchange uses the NFS protocol to access VMware datastores. This allows to simplify administration processes, ensuring high performance. This approach is driven not only by a distinct market practice, but also by the level of reliability and stability NetApp offers.
AFF A400 arrays can be scaled horizontally as workloads grow. Ultra-low latency allows you to build high-performance NVMe-based storage area networks (SANs) in end-to-end end-to-end mode. All of the above determined the company’s choice in favor of the current vendor.
Anna Borisova, head of sales at ITGLOBAL.COM:
“To date, quite a small number of companies have already moved to the latest solution from NetApp, and can fully appreciate the benefits that gives the business infrastructure upgrade in favor of such technological solutions. To be among the early adopters is to truly keep pace with the times.”
Alexander Vilde, development director of ATI.SU Freight Exchange (Transbord LLC):
“In a time of universal digitalization and high expectations for service quality, both from employees and customers, businesses need new growth drivers more than ever. The introduction of new storage systems gives us not just a technological advantage, but also helps us avoid reputational losses due to the high availability of all of our services.” “TransBoron’s new storage solution is the best way to achieve this goal.
