ITGLOBAL.COM together with vStack vendor organized turnkey cloud infrastructure for a provider from Kazakhstan

Active business development is possible only if you delegate the solution of non-core tasks to professionals who are ready to make a complex project and save time and money for the company. In this article we told you how ITGLOBAL.COM specialists together with vStack vendor created a turnkey cloud infrastructure for cloud provider CloudTek from Kazakhstan.

Client: cloud provider from Kazakhstan

CloudTek is a provider that provides various cloud services based on a data center in Kazakhstan: public cloud, backup, pentest and audit, DDoS protection and web application protection.

Challenge: business development and opening a new site

CloudTek is actively developing, so in 2023 the company planned to open a new cloud site in Kazakhstan to sell cloud services to its customers. To solve this task, it was necessary to increase computing power and select virtualization software. The main criteria for selecting service providers were the reliability of partners, technical fault tolerance of solutions and their cost.

Solution: hardware delivery, virtualization startup and self-management dashboard

Integrator ITGLOBAL.COM together with vendor of virtualization platform vStack offered CloudTek a comprehensive solution for infrastructure creation. The work was carried out in several stages.

Selection of virtualization platform

CloudTek specialists chose between two virtualization platforms: foreign VMware, which is available in Kazakhstan, and Russian solution vStack.

“We opted for vStack because the software had the functionality we needed. In terms of the cost of the solution, the Russian virtualization platform turned out to be more profitable several times than similar products on the market,” said Murat Kenebaev, CEO of CloudTek.
Due to the more affordable cost of the solution, the cloud provider will be able to compete with Kazakhstani providers that use only VMware.

Delivery of vStack-R hardware

In parallel with the selection of vStack, ITGLOBAL.COM specialists selected five vStack-R servers, two vStack-R switches and a Huawei switch manager.

“As part of the project, CloudTek received a small amount of server and network equipment to provide a fault-tolerant service. But we, as a provider, are now actively developing, so our hardware fleet will only grow in the near future,” said Murat Kenebaev, CEO of CloudTek.
“The vStack-R servers and hyperconverged vStack infrastructure are compatible with each other. We, as an integrator, can guarantee customers high performance and uninterrupted operation of the entire complex solution,” said Ilya Bornyakov, Deputy Executive Director for Technology Development at ITGLOBAL.COM. In addition to the delivery of servers and switches, ITGLOBAL.COM specialists undertook technical support of the equipment, which works stably, regardless of external factors such as geopolitical conflicts and sanctions.
“We work directly with the manufacturer, we always have the necessary spare parts in stock. In addition, we use vStack-R servers in our infrastructure, so we know all the technical nuances and are ready at any moment to help the client to increase computing resources and promptly resolve any issues,” shared Nikita Zhukov, ITGLOBAL.COM account manager.
CloudTek company was engaged in equipment connection independently. For this purpose, ITGLOBAL.COM specialists provided the cloud provider with all the necessary schemes in advance and instructed its employees in detail.

Deployment of vStack and integration of the control panel

Once the hardware was connected, the client granted access to vStack specialists to connect, deploy the vStack hyperconverged infrastructure, and integrate a dashboard to manage it.

“As a software vendor, we have a comprehensive solution under the vStack Service Provider program model. It includes vStack virtualization platform, control panel vStack Service Provider Panel and technical support for Managed vStack from our specialists, which allows us to transfer all the manual work, up to the creation of VMs,” shared Evgeny Karpov, vStack Business Development Manager.

Especially for CloudTek, the vendor prepared a customized version of vStack Service Provider Panel and highlighted the necessary functionality.

. “We provided Kubernetes service in the control panel, which helped the cloud provider attract new customers who need to deploy VMs in K8s,” said Evgeny Karpov, vStack Business Development Manager.

Result: turnkey IT infrastructure

. Coordinated work of specialists ITGLOBAL.COM and vStack enabled CloudTek to create a ready-made cloud infrastructure for the provider, which includes servers and switches, a hyperconverged platform and a control panel. The integrator also took care of the maintenance of the hardware and virtualization platform.

“The comprehensive project we developed for CloudTek will allow the company to grow faster and increase its customer base without being distracted by software and hardware maintenance, routine tasks and hiring staff. This approach frees up time, financial and human resources of the business for important projects,” summarized Nikita Zhukov, ITGLOBAL.COM account manager.
In the near future cloud provider CloudTek plans to horizontally expand its business and for these needs to purchase additional vStack-R equipment.
“Now we plan to expand CloudTek’s geographical presence in Kazakhstan and create a DR platform based on vStack-R equipment and vStack platform,” shared Murat Kenebaev, CloudTek CEO.
